Presence begins with self-awareness
Reframing the Narrative
We are a team of educators who believe in empowering individuals and teams to recognize and grow their individual and collective social and emotional competencies to build meaningful engagement and presence. By incorporating the Emotional Quotient Inventory 2.0 (EQ-i 2.0®) model as a framework, we work with clients to identify individual and team-focused strategies to build emotional intelligence presence grounded in mindfulness and positive psychology.
It’s all about the journey
Our clients get personalized growth plans that integrate values with purpose. We’ve created a variety of specialized services and training designed for individuals, teams, and organizations.
Our guiding principles
Growing Presence Consulting™ evolved from many conversations and professional collaborations between its founding partners guided by their inherent drive to help others discover their purpose and to teach strategies and skills that build resilience and self-compassion. We believe these guiding principles are the cornerstones to achieving individual and team presence in the workplace:
Emotional
intelligence
Recognizing and understanding how each employee’s personal experiences, feelings, and identities influence how they interact with those they work with is an essential component to building a healthy corporate culture. It is equally important to then take that awareness and apply targeted emotional intelligence skills so that each member of the organization can learn to become more effective communicators and positive contributors to the organization’s overall mission and purpose.
Mindfulness
When we are able to ground ourselves in the present moment with our thoughts and feelings, we are able to see situations, conflicts, and opportunities without judgement. Through the intentional practice of mindfulness, each employee will be able to center themselves to allow for the inner space they will need to work collaboratively with each other as they find solutions and nurture innovation within their team.
Gratitude
Practicing gratitude helps each of us to see ourselves in others through genuine appreciation and kindness. We identify small, but impactful ways employees can perform acts of gratitude and kindness in the workplace and greater community. We incorporate scientifically-proven gratitude intervention strategies that not only build positive emotions, but also increase creative problem solving, empathy, and effective communication skills.
Leadership
When we listen to our inner compass and value those we work with we are able to discover our sense of purpose and meaning. We work with clients and their employees to identify core leadership elements by exploring personal and character values, beliefs, life experiences, culture, and personality traits. We then guide each employee to embrace their leadership narrative through the development of a personal leadership philosophy statement and reflecting upon their current and future leadership goals.
